In week five of the Carruthers and Jackson Data Leaders Summer School, the alumni discussed data strategies. This led Peter Jackson, Exasol’s Chief Data and Analytics Officer, to discuss whether a CDO’s data strategy should be linear or multi-dimensional.
Peter also explained when and how a data leader should re-assess their strategy to discover whether it’s still relevant.
“Have the business or the enterprise goals changed?” asks Peter. “Is the data strategy still aligned and still delivering against the business strategy? And are the outcomes that you expected to deliver actually being realized?”
